Nancy dos Santos (1953-2020)

Revista 'Amiga' (May 1973) tells about Agostinho dos Santos untimely death in an airplane crash in Paris.

Nancy dos Santos was the oldest child of Agostinho dos Santos (born on 25 April 1932, in São Paulo; died on 12 July 1973, in Paris, France).

Nancy Palleta dos Santos was born on 29 October 1953, in São Bernardo do Campo-SP and died on  7 July 2020.

Nancy dedicated her whole life to preserve the memory of her father who tragically died in that air-plane crash when he was arriving in Paris in the Summer of 1973.

Nancy put up Ferradura Bar, in São Bernardo do Campo within São Paulo's metropolitan area circa 1980. It soon became a magnet for all sorts of musicians around the Grande ABC (Santo André, São Bernardo & São Caetano).

Every Tuesdays & Fridays, choro-players, sambistas, poets, writers, journalists and all who love Brazilian Popular Music would congregate at Ferradura Bar at Rua Gieg, 15, Vila Tupi to have a good time.

Mimi Boêmio and Joca-7-Strings (Joca-7-Cordas) started the whole business of playing live at Ferradura's. Joca's real name is Dioracy Antônio Reis Moura, was born on 10 April 1939, in S.Paulo and died on 18 November 2009, in Santo André-SP. His son, Carlos Moura took after him and is a very good 7-string-guitar player.
