Carlus Maximus is the pseudonym of a Brazilian educator, researcher, and writer who runs the specialized music history blog Brazilian Pop 1934-1964. He holds degrees in Languages (Letras) from USP and is particularly known for his extensive research and historical documentation of Brazilian rock and pop music from the 1950s and 1960s.

Beyond his work in formal education, Carlus Maximus has made significant contributions as a cultural blogger and music historian. Brazilian He has authored numerous in-depth articles tracing the roots of early Brazilian rock, beat, and post-Jovem Guarda rock on his blog.
